DogPlaces is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal or sensitive user data. This policy explains what information is accessed and how it is used. 2. Information We Do Not Collect DogPlaces does not collect: Names, email addresses, or contact details Financial, authentication, or health information Precise location data from your device IP addresses Browsing history outside of Google Maps Keystrokes or form inputs outside the extension Google account information Cookies or advertising identifiers We do not build user profiles and do not sell or share data with third parties. 3. Information We Do Collect (Anonymous Usage Data) To improve the extension, DogPlaces collects limited anonymous usage data. This may include: Anonymous interaction events (such as expanding the widget or clicking buttons) A randomly generated anonymous identifier stored locally in the browser Public information about places displayed on Google Maps (such as place name or place ID) Technical metadata such as extension version and timestamp This data: Cannot be used to identify you Is not linked to your Google account Is used solely to understand feature usage and improve the product 4. What the Extension Accesses To function correctly, the DogPlaces extension: Reads the current Google Maps page to identify the displayed place Fetches public dog-friendly information from our database Sends anonymous usage events to our database for product analytics The extension does not track: Which places you search for Your browsing activity outside Google Maps Your interactions on other websites 5. Third-Party Services DogPlaces uses Supabase as a backend service to: Retrieve dog-friendly status for locations Store anonymous usage events for analytics No personal data is transmitted to Supabase. Data access is restricted and used only for operating and improving the extension. 6. Cookies and Tracking DogPlaces does not use: Cookies Advertising trackers Cross-site tracking technologies Third-party analytics or ad networks Only anonymous, first-party usage events are collected. 7.
